200A Service Upgrade in Newtown

200A Service Upgrade in Newtown

A Newtown home needed electrical work for new heat pumps and electric baseboard heating. Matrix Mechanical upgraded the existing 100A service with a new meter base, overhead mast and 200A breaker panel.

The existing panel was full

During planning, the electrician recorded that the existing 100A panel was full. The electrical upgrade was scoped alongside the heating work so the new equipment and its circuits could be considered together.

  • Installing a new meter base and overhead service mast.
  • Replacing the existing panel with a 200A breaker panel.
  • Connecting circuits for the heat pumps and electric baseboard heating.
  • Installing a whole-home surge protector and labelling the circuit directory.
