Great work starts with a great team. As we've grown our electrical service in-house, we hold our electricians to the same standard as every other trade at Matrix: continuous training, cross-trade collaboration, and a levelling system that tracks real skills, not just years on the job.
Electrical Skills
Here are some of the skills and capabilities of our team:
- Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial electrical systems, from nuisance breaker trips to full panel replacements.
- Install and upgrade electrical panels and service entrances to support renovations, additions, and new equipment loads.
- Wire new circuits for kitchens, bathrooms, and finished basements, including dedicated circuits for major appliances.
- Install and troubleshoot lighting, switches, and receptacles, including GFCI and AFCI protection where required.
- Wire electrical connections for Heating & Cooling and water heating equipment installed by our own plumbing and Heating & Cooling teams.
- Test and verify circuits with the proper meters and testers before putting any work back into service.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting and new installations.
- Coordinate with our gas and Heating & Cooling technicians on combination jobs, like heat pump and generator hookups, so one team handles the whole project.
