Electrical panel replacements and service-upgrade planning for renovations, new equipment loads and aging electrical systems.
A renovation, heat pump or other new electrical load may call for more than another breaker. Matrix Mechanical assesses panels and service entrances and plans replacements or upgrades around the condition of the existing system and the equipment you want to add.
Start with the equipment you want to add and any problems with the existing system. Ask which changes are needed at the panel, service entrance and individual circuits, rather than assuming they are all the same job.
Read our guide to planning an electrical panel or service upgrade before requesting an estimate.
Before choosing a quotation, confirm:
Matrix Mechanical provides a one-year labour warranty.
The condition of the existing installation, cable routes and access can change the scope. Your quotation determines what is included.
Adding a heat pump or EV charger ? Share the equipment specifications before the electrical scope is settled. For a kitchen or bathroom renovation , identify plumbing changes and new appliance locations so the trades can plan around the same layout.
Request an electrical upgrade estimate .
Planning your project budget? Explore financing through Financeit . Financing may be available for eligible projects, subject to credit approval and applicable terms. Review the financing options alongside your project estimate.
Provide photos of the closed panel and service entrance taken from a safe position, describe the equipment being added and share any existing electrical drawings. Include access details and any timing constraint for a planned power interruption.
See Electrical Services for troubleshooting and circuit work.
Do not remove panel covers or approach exposed electrical parts to take photographs.
Matrix Mechanical upgraded a home's 100A electrical service to 200A as part of a heat-pump and electric-heating project. The work included a new meter base, overhead mast, breaker panel and whole-home surge protector.
